A brand new ANDRA website is now on-line, complete with all the information to keep Drag Racing fans & racers up to date with resources to entertain, inform and educate visitors about the Quickest Motorsport in the world.

The Australian National Drag Racing Association, or ANDRA for short, is the primary drag racing sanctioning body in Australia. In excess of 3,500 members are provided Drag Racing licensing & regulatory services via an online platform that communicates to thousands of enthusiasts on a daily basis.
KSO IT Consulting worked with ANDRA's PR & Communications Manager on a short deadline after the previous site was hacked (by a Turkish terrorist group). The new site has many new exiting features and sections in a clean easy to navigate format, built using Joomla an award-winning content management system (CMS), which enables you to build Web sites and powerful online applications in a faster more efficient way.

Joomla is the English spelling of the Swahili word jumla meaning “all together” or “as a whole.” Much like ANDRA has developed from a community of Drag Racers, Joomla was formed from within the free software community of Web designers and developers that operate as both fans and supporters providing “Open Source” development. Joomla is highly extensible and with thousands of extensions from multiple developers, allowing designers and therefore clients to grow the functionality of their website easily and cost effectively.

ANDRA has also included a new exciting E-News service to work in with the new website. Provided by MailChimp a leading do-it-yourself marketing service, provides tools to over 400,000 e-Commerce organizations worldwide. MailChimp delivers more than 200 millions emails per month from over 70 countries and in 26 languages.

By using an email provider such as MailChimp ensures ANDRA abides by anti-spam laws and avoids having addresses blacklisted but most importantly will provide a cleaner, faster and more informative communication platform to our members and fan base.

Attention Powercruiser's....Please note that the dates for Carline Mufflers Powercruise #29 at Sydney's Eastern Creek Raceway have changed!

The Australian Street Rod Federation (ASRF) are holding a Vehicle Registration Information Day at Badgerys Creek NSW on Saturday 14 August.

"This has been organised by the ASRF but is open to everyone that wants information," explains Ian Davis (better known as Elvis at Rod Bods).

"We will be going through what is on the t...able at present from the RTA, potential changes, VSI 50 (suspension rule) and Engineering System changes.

It doesn’t matter what type of vehicle a person owns, emphasising everyone is welcome, the more the better to get the correct information out there so everyone understands whats happening at present and in the future."

"This is not an argument session its purely for the ASRF to tell us what the RTA are proposing and whats already in place so we understand everything as well as possible and clarify all the things we are hearing about future rego laws etc."
